Another Coincidence?

First this

Voters in House District 54 appeared to have elected their first white representative in more than two decades . . . [Patricia] Todd would be the district’s first white representative in more than 20 years. It’s believed that she also would be the first openly gay member of the Alabama Legislature.

Then this:

A thunderstorm that pelted Jefferson County around 2 p.m. today brought down power lines in a few widely scattered places and flooded a few streets in Birmingham.

Birmingham police reported minor street flooding in the 3000 block of Eighth Avenue North and in the 3100 block of Messer Airport Highway east of the downtown area. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service said a tree was blown down at Clairmont Road and Essex Road and pulled down a few power lines with it.

Guess where this destruction occured? DISTRICT 54! The message could not be clearer. Can I get an Amen, Hank Erwin?

Just a thunderstorm? I guess God wasn’t all that mad about it.

  2. Jen Says:

and most of the devastation was repaired by the time i left work.

  3. HP Says:

The thunderstorm was already on it’s way, so it had to be something else.

Probably all those gay books in Birmingham public libraries.

I shall be on the phone to Rep. Allen bright and early tomorrow to make sure this is rectified.
